Beat Stress With CBT
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT for short) is the name given to the process of systematically eliminating negative thoughts. More than just a therapy, it’s a way for those who are stuck in a rut to improve their life in many ways. But the best part is this: instead of focusing on curing you out-right like some techniques promise, it gives you the tools you need to sort yourself out. This means that although the sessions may be expensive, when you’re not in a session you can be applying what you have learned. It is because of this that it is probably the most positive kind of therapy, and one that is exceedingly popular – becoming even more so as stress increases and we are forced into a no-win situation where we’re required to work even more hours.
And if you’re wondering if you can afford it, think of it like this: will pole dancing classes help you like CBT can? Unlikely. What about going down the pub 4 times a week? I think you know the answer…the point is, although you may have to give up some things to be able to afford private CBT, in the long-run you will no doubt reap the rewards. For anyone who wants to get on with their life and is sick of being held back, CBT may well provide you with a state of mind which makes progressing into the person you want to be very achievable in a relatively short period of time.
